Artist’s Message
Hi, I’m Sara, a Portuguese artist living in Amsterdam, blending my love for art, interior design, and minimalism into every piece I create.
Growing up, I loved to draw, but for nearly a decade, I set that part of myself aside to focus on earning my engineering degree and building a career. Eventually, though, I felt something was missing. That’s when I started drawing again! Starting Essar has been a way to reconnect with my creativity and share that passion with others.
I truly believe we don't need to fit neatly into one box. We can be many things, all at once. We can be unique! Just like us, our houses don't need to fit into a box either. They should too be unique, and reflect who we truly are. They should makes us feel safe and at peace.
Every piece in this shop was designed with care with the hope that it can inspire you and make you feel a bit more at home in your own house.
